About
Katharina Albrecht.
Internationally trained sex and relationship therapist, Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner and founder of Caricoma.
I’m Katharina Albrecht, an internationally trained sex and relationship therapist, Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner and founder of Caricoma.
Originally from Northern Germany, my education and clinical training have taken me across the United Kingdom, Canada, Greece and Germany.
My work brings together systemic sex therapy, attachment-focused Somatic Experiencing®, psychodynamic thinking and contemporary neuroscience to support individuals and couples in building more connected relationships — with themselves, with one another and with their bodies.

Alongside clinical practice, I write through Caricoma Studio, where psychotherapy enters into conversation with art, culture and psychosocial thought.
I currently work internationally online and through periods of in-person practice in Southeast Asia.

A note on the name
“Caricoma” is drawn from the Greek — to mend. Not to restore what has been broken to its earlier form, but to bring what has come apart back into relationship. It is a practice, not a destination.
